Or - a desperate measure but useful - try running crystal disk in safe mode - just in case there is some program blocking it from running.Crystal Disk Info Portable is a fully portable version of a compact, free disk information utility. Try temporarily disabling your antivirus software to see if that helps. You could try running it from a USB key to see if that helps. It occurred to me that perhaps the program is being blocked on your computer by some antivirus software or that Crystal Disk doesn't have access permission to your drive.
